Realizing A Path To Retirement
Ann’s journey to NoteSchool began when she decided to work with a wealth coach. Through a mastermind event in February, she was introduced to Eddie Speed and the concept of note investing. “Someone way back years ago said, ‘Ann, you need to own the paper, don’t be the landlord,'” she remembers. “It really sparked everything and aligned.”
Intrigued by the possibilities, Ann took a leap of faith and signed up for NoteSchool’s three-day class. “You over-delivered,” she says, “and I knew that this was a lane I needed to be in.”
Road to Retirement: Challenges and Triumphs
Transitioning into note investing wasn’t without its challenges. Ann was already running a successful real estate business and balancing family life with three grown sons and five grandchildren. However, she recognized the potential and made a commitment to learn and grow.
“The next 12 to 18 months, I’m going to be traveling, I’m going to be engaged in learning,” Ann told her family. She time-blocked her schedule to focus on her note education and began putting her new knowledge into action.
The results came quickly. Within months of fully engaging with NoteSchool’s program, Ann and her husband owned their first notes. “It’s quite nice to think about instead of money sitting somewhere, it’s actually my money growing monthly,” Ann shares excitedly. “I’m proud to say I’ve started receiving those monthly passive residual incomes coming in.”
Rethinking Real Estate Investments for Retirement
Ann’s experience with NoteSchool has also led her to reevaluate her existing real estate investments. With rising property taxes, insurance costs, and maintenance expenses, she’s now looking at converting some of her rental properties to seller financing.
“We definitely are taking ours now and going to the tenants or looking to do seller finance so we can just own the note and not be the landlord,” Ann explains. This strategy allows her to maintain the benefits of real estate investing while reducing the headaches of property management.
Building a Legacy and an Early Retirement
For Ann, note investing isn’t just about securing her own retirement. It’s about creating a lasting legacy for her family. “I want to have a legacy for my children and my grandchildren,” she says passionately. “I want my children at a much younger age to learn what we are doing now, and I can only imagine what it’s going to look like for them in 10 years just by us starting.”
